The cacao butter used to make this chocolate is Fair Trade Certified. Fair Trade standards ensure that producers and their community receive a fair share of the benefits of trade, thus improving the quality of their lives.
We have sweetened this chocolate bar with Organic Evaporate Coconut Nectar from the island of Java, Indonesia. This low GI (35), mineral rich sweetener, produced from coconut palm blossoms is considered the most sustainable in the world and makes a great cane sugar alternative.
Please Note: During the warmer months our chocolate can sometimes melt in transit. There is an increased chance of this in the case of our Hazelnut Creamy Mylk Chocolate since it includes whole coconut flesh, which contains healthy oils with a low melting point. An energising and revitalising superfood of the Incas. Jam packed with vitamins, minerals, enzymes and all the essential amino acids. Grown at 4,000m above sea level in the Andean district of Junin by the Pumpush people who have been cultivating and consuming Maca as a staple food for thousands of years. Contains unique alkaloids, which help stimulate the master glands that in turn may help optimise and balance the entire endocrine system.
We are often asked why our Maca costs so much less than other brands. We buy our 100% certified organic Maca powder directly from a grower association in Junin, Peru. We pay them a premium price for it and then we put the same markup on the maca as all of the other products we sell and that is how we arrive at the price.
As you can see Australian certified organic have audited the whole production and packaging process assuring you the consumer that our Maca is 100% pure, organic and of the highest quality.
If you are receiving treatment for any hormonal issues or you are pregnant or breastfeeding, there are certain contraindications for Maca. Maca affects the hormonal system so we recommend you consult your naturopath or medical practitioner before taking.
